All DEBAGO products are designed, built and assembled in the Grisignano di Zocco production plant in the province of Vicenza, Italy.
The electronics are assembled and tested in their own laboratory and use many custom-made\nparts.

All the components of the frame are made of aluminum and are developed from a solid piece\nusing the latest generation CNC machinery.
All ferrous parts, screws, tips etc. are made of stainless steel to avoid deterioration.
Even the finishing and assembly processes are conducted in-house in order to guarantee\nmaximum control and superior quality while manufacturing the product.<\/p>\n

The repeatability of the work and the absolute respect of the constructive tolerances of the\ndiffusers are fundamental to arrive at the desired final result and guarantee its duration over time.<\/p>\n

The electrostatic speaker is composed of a mobile membrane placed (by means of a special frame that ensures the right stretch and position) within a pair of stators:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Stators and membrane are powered by a generator which supplies:<\/p>

  • To the membrane: a dc voltage which determines the distribution of a surface electric\ncharge on the membrane itself.<\/li>
  • At the stators: a pair of equal and opposite ac voltages that generate the electric field\nresponsible for the force produced over the membrane.<\/li><\/ul>

    The combined action of the three voltages causes the membrane to be subjected to a\nforce that tends to move it with respect to the rest position. The displacement of the membrane in turn determines the displacement of the surrounding air and therefore the creation of the pressure waves that form the sound.
    The membrane must be appropriately stretched in such a way that the elasticity of the material guarantees the natural return to the rest position; consequently there is no need for additional suspension systems because the membrane, stressed to move by the electrostatic forces produced in the cell, tends to automatically return to the rest position.<\/p>

    It can be shown that the force that stresses the membrane is uniformly distributed over the\nentire surface and depends exclusively on:<\/p>

    • Polarization voltage<\/li>
    • Voltages applied to stators<\/li>
    • Distance between stators and membrane.<\/li><\/ul>

      As the size of the cell increases proportionally, both the mass of the moving membrane and the force that develops on this mass increase proportionally, so as the size of the cell increases we observe:
      - Increase of the acoustic pressure obtainable (as a consequence of the greater amount\nof air set in motion).
      - No reduction in either bandwidth or response speed.
      Theoretically, there are no limits to the size of the electrostatic cell, and the performances that can be obtained (intended both as a bandwidth and as accuracy of reproduction, speed, detail, etc.) are determined by establishing a perfect synergy with the piloting system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      In the HDFG system<\/b> nothing comes between the music signal and the electrostatic cell.
      The HDFG (High Definition Field Generator) system was developed by DEBAGO<\/strong> to have perfect voltage control to provide the panel with the best possible operating conditions, resulting in performances that far exceed those attainable with classic systems.
      The HDFG system is more than an amplifier<\/strong>, HDFG is a real electric fields generator<\/strong> that creates the junction between the audio sources and the electrostatic panels, the link between reproduction and reality.
      HDFG and electrostatic panel have been developed concurrently in such a way that their\nperformance merge to form a single body, an indivisible whole that start from the sound reproduction and transports the listener inside the musical event, transferring all the sensations\nand emotions of the performance.
      Electrostatic panel and HDFG are merged into the same frame to form a complete system, which receives the audio signal as the input and delivers the musical event as the output.
      HDFG is characterized by:<\/p>

      • Full solid-state construction<\/li>
      • Fully class A analog structure<\/li>
      • High efficiency (the required power is less than 30W)<\/li>
      • Balanced analog input<\/li>
      • Digital input from UBS port (HDSG can be connected directly to pc \/ mac) and internal 32bit\/384kHz DAC.<\/li><\/ul>

        The result of the interaction between the electrostatic cell and HDFG is a dipole \nloudspeaker with the following overall characteristics:<\/p>

        • Bandwidth (at -3dB): 32Hz (*) -18kHz\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

          (*) the lower limit is measured in the room by placing the diffuser 1.5 meters from the back wall. In open air the lower limit drops to 22Hz.\u00a0<\/p>

          • Dimensions: L 63cm - H 185cm - P 16cm (40cm at the base)<\/li>
          • Weight: 35kg each<\/li>
          • Power supply: 220V\u00a0<\/li>
          • Power consumption: 30W<\/li>
          • Analog input: balanced line<\/li>
          • Digital input: USB 2.0 port + 32bit \/ 384kHz DAC<\/li>
          • Input sensitivity: 1Vrms for full modulation<\/li><\/ul>

            It should be noted that the electrostatic loudspeaker falls into the category of dipoles,\ntherefore it has a rear emission which, differently than the front one, exploits the reflection on the rear wall whose distance determines the effective lower limit of the band reproducible in the listening environment.<\/p>

            Finally, during positioning, it is necessary to find the best compromise between the size of the room and the listening position to determine the best performance in terms of scenic reconstruction and frequency response. Ideally, the speakers\u2019 position it is located at the base of an equilateral triangle whose vertex is the listening position. Since the result still depends on the environment, it is advisable to start with the arrangement depicted in the figure below (trying to keep the speakers at a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from the back wall and \/ or from the\nside walls).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
